Coffee with Maja Design...part 2

 I have been baking...
Well my oven does not work
but I baked with paper.
So I do not need one then.
Yes it is a bit difficult to live without an
oven but we are going to renovate
the kitchen later this year.

Back to the baking...
If you have not had a look yet do so because
the team has made to most amazing things.

Here's my projects...
A coffee cup that I folded from the paper
"Kaffetåren den bästa är".
Found a template online but now
I do not remember where.
Stupid me!
But I found this one. :)

Found it!!! Coffee cup from Sherry Graves

Close up on my handmade flowers.

The mug in a different angle.

Small cakes in Sweden called Kärleksmums.
Yes of course, like the paper that I made them in.
A small cake with some room for a surprice.
Some whipped creme on top.
That also in paper ;)
(Just scroll down to the post made dec 27, 2007)
But I think one could make the tabs a bit longer because it
does not stay closed with those small tabs.
Shall try it someday.

And the I also made a Princess cake.
Green marzipan and a pink rose on top.
Perhaps you see some of the "spongecake" that
are the bottom part of this box.
Also a handmade rose on this.

And then them all together.

Now for some for me good news.
Today I first won a bloghop, because
of the first winner did not contact the blog owner.
So I where the second winner.  YEH!!!
And then I went and saw that I won the Kenny K challenge!
With this card.
YEH! again.
So I´m over the moon right now.
Wish you all a great day.

Coffee with Maja Design...part 1

So Maja Design has done it again.
Another collection with GORGEOUS papers!!
They celebrate 3 years with the "Ska Vi Ta En Fika?" Collection.

StampARTic team got another chance to create with Maja Designs lovely papers.
This time as you may already understand with the "Ska Vi Ta En Fika?" Collection.

Here´s what I did for part 1.
Yes..there is a part 2. :)
First a Get Well card.
In one of my favorite folds.
And with a belly belt to hold it together.
Cut out the pretty roses out of the Chai Tea paper.

Papers I´ve used:
Två Fröknar
Hemma hos mig
Sockerkaka
Chai Tea
Pratstund
En kopp te

Here´s the inside.
Also used the Chai tea paper here.
Lovely tea pot.
My thought was that Chai tea could make you better when you have a cold.
That's why I made a Get Well card.

And here's the back.
Lovely papers isn't it??

Card nr 2.
You are my cup of tea.
If I understand it correctly one can say this to someone one like.
Took the Chai tea recipe and made it to a tag.
Used the Fika hÄngel as the motif.
Thought she would suit great for this.
This card also has a belly belt to hold it together.

Papers used on this card:
Kladdkaka
Kärleksmums
Chai Tea
Två Fröknar
Kaffetåren den bästa är
Sockerkaka

Open card and you see the inside.
I cut out some swirls out of one of the papers.
It was a bit detailed but it worked.

So that´s was all I had for today.
Wish you all a great weekend!!!

Time for some Paris...

Or at least the Eiffel tower.
This is also a project that I did last year.
But have spent some time on my desk in wait to be photographed.

Also with one of my favorite techniques.
Stamp, stamp, stamp. :)
Here are stamps from Pink Paislee-Parisian Anthology
Tim Holtz and MME on a with piece of paper.
The turquoise flower in the background shimmer with Perfect pearl- Turquoise.
Just stamp with a slow drying stamp ink,
add some perfect pearl with a brush
and you get lovely shimmery backgrounds.

So, almost weekend and I can't wait.
Tomorrow we are going to try out or new Wii Fit plus.
My hubby wanted one and I got it yesterday in Borås.
When in Borås I also payed Magnolia a visit yesterday,
but I did not buy as much as I thought I would.
Lovely stamps but... Why have they become so expensive?
I did not buy a single one because of it. : /
I bought a small Martha punch -Oak leaf, the Magnolia lace die and 5 papers.
*shock*

I think I save what I did not spend for those too things I´m looking for now instead.
The Tim Holts Tag and bookplate die
and Sizzix/Sizzlits Little leaves.
Last thing only sold by Stampin Up and they do not ship to Sweden.
Have asked.
Buhu, why do we not have Stampin Up here???
Have looked on others but do not like them as much.
So I guess I have to look some more.
Perhaps there's some news from CHA that I like instead.

I imagine my self making tons of lovely tags
when I find the tag and bookplate.
*lol*
Question is if I really would....
Is it as great as it looks???

Well well.. ;) It´s for the future to find out.
Have a great Friday!
I know I will.
Big hugs SasSa

A thin Christmas box....

It's something I made on a craft get together some time ago( maybe November, last year).
Nothing special at all but something I have not showed yet.
I used one of my favorite techniques.
Have shown things with it before, it's the technique made by Heidi Swapp.

The box is 21 cm x 19 cm and 1,9 cm high.
Text stamp in the middle from Inkido.
The rest are a mix of stamps.

Here's to show how thin it is.
The pretty paper around it are from Maja Design.

Just a quick post today. :)
Working on some projects that I can't show yet.
Have a nice Wednesday!

Not perhaps....

I actually made it!
Yeh!
Didn't think that right.. ;)

Some days ago I bought some KennyK digi stamps.
Just adore those hot girls.
Some difference from sweet hÄnglar and other stamps.
Have you not checked out his stamps, then do it.
Do not think you will be disappointed.

And they offer a new freebie every month.
Me like!
Now I also found a challenge blog Kenny K's Krafty Girls.
And that is what I made a card for.

Hope it´s OK that I use a stamp from another company too.
The lovely tree are from Make it Crafty.
And of course the hottie are Mae Western from Kenny K.
Think it has taken 4 hours just to color.
A lot of color on there... :)
Here goes.

Inside with a Prima letter stamp, tickets from
Pink Paislee and hearts from Cuttlebug.
On the other side a corner stamp from Hamton Art,
postage stamp from Pink Paislee and hearts from Cuttlebug.

Thanks for the sweet words ♥!!
Have a great start on the new week.
Hugs SasSa

I´m trying..

To not make this a boring blog again, soo here goes with a new update.
Today we have a new sponsor article in StampARTic magazine.
Paperella from Finland sponsored the team this time.

brown paper bags
White tags
White pearls
Small white wild roses.
(Stupid me forgot to photograph..)

And here´s what I did.

Two small boxes with a origami folded box in the middle
and then a lid and bottom in one piece.
I put some pearls one in each corner on the bottom
to make it stand up a little from the surface.
I did that on the lid too but that's just for decoration.

Here's a patchwork card.
Just regret that I didn't sew on the patchwork.
The beautiful bird pair are from the stamp set "Enjoy" from Penny Black.
In the card, first side.
The butterfly from same stamp set.
The text are from Inkido.
And to make it neutral I masked of the first word that where "I".
As in "I wish you...."
But without the "I", I can use it more.

Next page with a birthday sentiment.
Just look at these beautiful papers.
Sooo pretty.

Here's one of the 2 paperbags I got.
Again the pretty papers and stamps.
Stamped both the butterfly and birds and then put some stickles on them.

Back of the paperbag.
Think I perhaps will put something more on this.
Think it's missing something.

Last but not least...
I made a bookmark or a tag for a bouquet of flowers.
I sooo wanted a tassel to tie in the hole.
But I had none so I have to go look for one.
Think a small one perhaps in silver would suit great.
Please just imaging one sitting there already ;)

About origami boxes..
There are a ton of different videos on youtube on how to make one
I do not exactly as her but close.
I make a cross with a pen in the beginning instead of folds so
I do not get those crease marks on the lid.

So now you perhaps wonder why I only write in english.
Well it is to save some time.
Cause when I write in 2 languages it takes forever.
That means I can make a quick posts and hopefully not postpone blogpost like I did lats year.
So sorry for only the english but if there are something you wonder, just ask. ;)
I answer anything I can, promise!

Have a nice sunday!
Btw....Perhaps there will be another update today...
But just perhaps... ;)

Jiiiippiii I have had time of.

And how nice it has been. Have had sooo much to do and people here almost every day.
Nice to meet the family and dear friends.
But it is also a little relief when we(my little family) finally are alone to just take it easy.
So there have not been many minutes in front of the computer and
NON at the craft table. And that has been a relief too.
I have had a chance to breath a little. Niiice.
Thank you for all the sweet comments and emails and cards and thoughts.
They have carried me when it where a little troublesome.
Well enough with that. I hope the new year brings more joy and inspiration.

So lets start 2011 with saying HAPPY  NEW YEAR!!!
Today StampARTic opens again and we open grand with
what better today then our New years resolutions..?!

Crafting new years resolutions it was for me.
And here goes.

I made a chest o put my resolutions in.
It´s an origami folded box that I made my own folding of.
Because I did not want the creases that the old folding made.
It looks a bit different from the origin origami box but with some
layers of papers, crackle paint, distress ink and decorations it turned out like this...

The sign in the front are from Pink Paislee and Artisan Elements ornaments.

Tickets are also Pink Paislee and their co partner House of three.
The turquoise flowers I made myself, the flat ones are cut from a Best creations paper
and the turquoise leaves are also cut from a paper, hm...  American crafts(??) perhaps..  : /

Open chest. Another flower. Homemade that too.

Here´s the cover of the resolutions..

And the resolutions...
Well I never have any luck with resolutions but I always try. ;)

-Shop less and use the material that I got.
-Craft more instead of sitting in front of the computer
-Craft in good time before deadlines.
-Create and have fun.
-Have less pressure on myself.

On the back I put some small sayings
worth a thought.

That´s all from me today.
Again a really HAPPY NEW YEAR!
Wish you all a great day and TAKE CARE!
Hugs SasSa
